PRAGUE HITCH 2006 (D. Lin, S. Xia, M. Zedler)
To raise 1,000 GBP (1,750 USD) for Link Community Development, a registered UK charity focused on improving educational availability in rural Africa by March 18th, 2006. Money will be raised as sponsorship for an 800 mile hitchhike from the UK to the Czech Republic.
Link is currently working to bring educational resources to over five hundred schools in Ghana, South Africa, Malawi, and Uganda. The largest program that is currently being run works to connect, or “link,” schools in these African nations with schools in the UK which helps develop youth with a more globalized perspective.
